Sea Glass Capital Advisors focuses primarily on companies selling high-end goods and services. We also take assignments from companies outside our targeted industries as the opportunities present themselves. Furthermore, under appropriate circumstances, we will lead a buyout team in making an acquisition or controlling interest investment in a company.
Sea Glass Capital Advisors has been hired for transactional or consulting engagements with many companies in the recreational marine industry including Atlantic Boat Company, Barton & Gray Mariners Club, Charleston City Boat Yard, Charleston City Marina, Correct Craft, CorVant Software, The Hinckley Company, Hodgdon Yachts, Intrepid Powerboats, Island Global Yachting, J Boats and Mystic Shipyard; and with retail companies including Claire Murray and more recently Aline Systems Inc, a progressive in-sole company.

About Sandy Spaulding
Alexander "Sandy" Spaulding is the President, Managing Partner and sole Owner of Sea Glass Capital Advisors, a financial and management advisory firm he founded in 2005. He spent the previous 8 years working with Bill Bain and Ralph Willard developing Hinckley Yachts into one of America ’s great brands. Hinckley is America ’s premier builder of semi-custom sail and power yachts based in Maine. Hinckley is also one of the largest service and refit companies for yachts in the United States. In capacities including President of Hinckley Yachts and EVP and CFO of The Hinckley Company, Sandy was responsible for sales, marketing, and product development, including overseeing the sales team in five regional offices around the U.S., marketing initiatives such as boat shows and owner-oriented events, product development. He was also responsible for boat building operations of over 300 boat-building employees.

Today Sandy is also the Managing Director of Business Development for Hodgdon Yachts and Chairman of Barton & Gray Mariners Club. He was also President of Hodgdon Yacht Services from 2014-2016. In addition, Sandy was a ‘C” level officer and stockholder in a software company that has developed a cloud-based ERP software application to run boatyards and marinas and consulted to another software company in the boat business.
Immediately prior to joining Hinckley, Sandy was a Partner with Bain, Willard Companies of Boston where he was responsible for acquisition and financing efforts for the private equity firm founded by Bill Bain and Ralph Willard, including the acquisition of Hinckley Yachts.
Prior to Sandy’s career in private equity and operations, Sandy had a distinguished career in corporate and securities law for law firms in Boston and New York City, culminating in his position as Partner and Head of the Corporate Law Group in a Boston law firm. His practice included mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, start ups, venture capital, credit facilities, reorganizations and work-outs.

Sandy assembles his Sea Glass Team Members for engagements on a case-by-case basis. He has an extensive network of accomplished business women and men that he has access to as required for a specific engagement.
Sandy lives in Wellington Florida and spends as much time as possible in Southwest Harbor Maine in the summers.
Sandy graduated from Georgetown University and Boston University School of Law.
